The idea of this Sanstha took birth on 8th March 2016 – International Women’s Day – when a group
of housewives and ladies conceived the idea of coming together and doing “something” for the
society. Little had they Imagined that this “something” would someday become a respectable
and recognized movement towards improving the conditions of the less privileged.
On the same day – 8th March 2016 - the housewives planned their visit to an Old Age home in Mira-
Bhayander which houses many Senior Citizen women. These ladies were being looked after by the
care-takers – but were without some necessities to fulfil even very basic needs. With tears in their eyes,
resolve in their stride and hope in their hearts, the housewives & ladies rolled up their sleeves towards this the cause,
brought food supplies, blankets and groceries for the old-age ladies. This is how Niswarth Samajik Sanstha was born….
and there has been no looking-back ever since.
